Frequently asked questions — School planner

How is your school planner different from a standard homework diary?

A homework diary lists assignments. Our school planner adds: a visual weekly schedule, a space for upcoming tests, a weekly revision tracker and monthly review pages. It's a complete organisation tool, not just a memo.

From what year group do you recommend the school planner?

From Year 3 (age 7-8) for simplified versions with subject columns. From Year 4-5 for full versions with revision planning. Secondary school (Year 7) justifies a complete planner with all features.

My child already uses the school's homework diary — is yours useful?

School-issued diaries are often minimal. Ours offers a clear weekly view, revision spaces and a motivating design. Many children use both — the school diary for assignments, ours for the overall weekly picture.

Is the planner dated or undated?

Our planners are available undated — you fill in the dates yourself. This means you can start at any point in the school year without wasting pages.

How to help your child use their school planner effectively?

The evening ritual: 5 minutes after school to write down all homework before forgetting it. Then 2 minutes to check what's needed for the next day. Each Sunday: look together at upcoming tests and plan revision. Within a few weeks, your child will anticipate independently — and Monday morning crises disappear.
