Our planners for 3-6 year olds are designed for children who can't yet read. Large colourful pictograms show each step of the day — wake up, get dressed, have breakfast, brush teeth. Within a few weeks, your child follows their routine independently and gains confidence. Available as a magnetic chart (reset each week) or as a 90-day illustrated notebook.

Frequently asked questions — Planners ages 3-6

Can a 3-year-old really use a planner?

Yes! Our 3-6 planners use pictograms only — no reading required. Children identify the images (toothbrush, pyjamas, books...) and tick or move the magnets. Most 3-year-olds can follow a pictogram routine with minimal guidance after 1–2 weeks.

How many steps should a morning routine have for a 3-4 year old?

Start with 3 to 5 steps maximum per moment (morning or evening). Increase gradually with age. A 3-year-old cannot manage more than 4-5 instructions at once — keep it simple and consistent.

How do I introduce the planner to my child for the first time?

Present it as a "big kid's tool" — children love feeling responsible. Go through it together the first time, naming each pictogram. Then gradually let them take the lead. Make it fun, not a chore.

Can I use the same planner for multiple children?

Each planner is designed for one child. However, magnetic charts can be shared by adding a name space per child. Contact us for a siblings version with personalised sections.

How to create a calming routine for a 3-6 year old?

The key to a successful routine at this age: consistency and positivity. Hang the planner at your child's eye level so they can check it independently. Each evening, prepare tomorrow's planner together — it's a lovely bonding moment. Never use the planner as punishment: it must remain a joyful tool. Celebrate every star earned with a hug or a simple "well done!".
