Illustrated morning and evening routines with pictograms for young children. Reusable magnetic checklist or notebook — to build independence from age 2.
A children's routine chart transforms the most stressful moments of the day — the morning school rush and the bedtime wind-down — into calming rituals. Thanks to illustrated pictograms, even toddlers who can't yet read know exactly what to do. Get up, get dressed, have breakfast, brush teeth, pack your bag — each step is visible, in order. Within a few weeks, your child follows their routine independently.
From age 2-3 with simple pictogram versions (3-4 images max). Your child moves the magnets or ticks the pictures with your help at first, then independently. Most children are autonomous within 2-3 weeks.
Maximum 5-6 steps at this age: wake up, go to the toilet, wash hands, get dressed, have breakfast, brush teeth. Keep the order consistent to build the habit automatically.
Stay calm and redirect them to the chart: "What does your routine say?" rather than a direct instruction. Children follow rules better when they come from the chart rather than from parents. Avoid punishments linked to the chart.
Yes, and it's important to distinguish them visually. The evening routine includes: tidy away toys, bath/shower, pyjamas, teeth brushing, story time, lights out. Our charts offer both routines on the same board.
Involve your child from the start: choose the pictograms and order of steps together. A child who helped create their routine uses it far better. Hang the chart at their eye level — they must be able to check it independently. For the first few weeks, go through it together naming each step. Celebrate every completed routine: a stamp, a sticker, or simply a "you did it by yourself!".
Pair your routine chart with our weekly planners and our illustrated planners for 3-6 year olds.
